Ambassador Kim Traavik took up his duties as Norway's ambassador to the North Atlantic Council on 1 September. He participated in the Council visit to Afghanistan this week and has first day of work at NATO Headquarters today. Ambassador Traavik was Deputy Foreign Minister from 2001 till 2005. He has also previously served at the Norwegian Delegation to NATO in addition to a number of other postings.
